We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • Deliver and improve our services, and ensure the best possible user experience (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Customize services, recommendations and product information to be as relevant as possible to you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Administration of relationships with tenants and home buyers (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a), (b) and (f)).
  • Other marketing – newsletters to customers and others who have requested them (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Prepare statistics and understand market trends in order to improve and further develop our offerings (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • IT operations and security – updates, security measures, bug fixes and maintenance (GDPR Art. 32 and 6(1)(c)).
  • Manage the customer relationship – sales processes, agreements, invoices and follow-up of payments (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)).
  • Prevent misuse of our services (GDPR Art. 32 and 6(1)(c)).

5. How long do we store your personal data?

We do not store your personal data longer than necessary to fulfill the purpose of the processing. Personal data we process based on your consent is deleted when the consent is withdrawn. Information stored pursuant to statutory obligations is deleted when the obligation ceases.

6. Who do we share personal data with?

In some cases, we share personal data with other companies that perform services on our behalf. The main examples:

  • When others perform services on our behalf, for example web and marketing agencies to operate the website and show you targeted marketing. We have entered into data processing agreements with our suppliers.
  • In case of suspected legal violations, we may be required to disclose information to public authorities.

7. How do we transfer personal data to other countries?

Some of our subcontractors are located outside the EU/EEA. We only transfer personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA that the European Commission considers to provide an adequate level of protection, or to subcontractors that have committed to protecting your personal data through the EU standard contractual clauses.

You have the following rights:

  • Request access to which personal data we have registered about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of inaccurate information.
  • Request restriction of the processing in some situations.
  • Object to processing based on a balancing of interests.
  • Data portability – receive data you have provided in a machine-readable format.
  • Complain to the supervisory authority (the Norwegian Data Protection Authority) if you disagree with the way we process your personal data.

We use appropriate security measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, modification or deletion. The data controller has established procedures and measures to ensure that unauthorized persons do not gain access to your personal data.
